Update..

Summer is officially over, although we still have temperatures above 30 degrees C.  Our last trip was wonderful.  We went to Sparta on Friday.  On Saturday we went to Elafonissos snd from there to Monemvassia.  On Sunday we went to my husband’s village, Isioma, Karyon, Megalopolis, in Arcadia through a lovely route on Taygettus mountain.   (Hope to post some photos soon).

We returned late on Monday and early on Tuesday morning I went into hospital.   Instead of performing the surgery from the thigh, which is easiest for the doctors but much worse for the patients, as it takes more time and after the operation you stay in bed at least nine hours, after examining me, he decided to make the incision on the right hand.  The whole procedure lasted about half an hour.  He made an injection for local anaesthesia but still I could feel a little discomfort when the catheter was passing in.  There were no stitches but instead this bracelet had to stay on until the evening.  It is full of air, which has to be removed gradually until the evening before removing the bracelet.

I have great news.  All went well and thank God I do not have any arteries blocked.  However, I shall not do the same mistakes again.  I shall continue exercising, relaxing, cooking healthier but that does not mean I shall deprive the rest of the family, especially the children, from eating other less healthy food.  Besides, I have still many recipes I have not posted.

Finally, I wish to thank you all for your lovely comments on my previous post and all that positive energy you have sent me.

For at least 2 – 3 days I must not put any pressure on my hand as the artery may start bleeding.  I have typed this post using only my left hand, which is quite difficult and hope to start visiting you all soon.

Good to hear this much. Do take care of yourself. You can get back to blogging whenever your health allows it.

Dear Ivy, I was away and just read your last two posts. Thank God everything is okay but still take care and relax and this problem is not necessarily from what we eat, at least your cooking seems quite healthy, but from our lifestyle. We should eat everything in moderation but we need more exercise in our life instead of spending hours in front of the computer. Love, Lisa.
